The blacklist service in mobile phones allows you to block calls and messages from all blacklisted numbers.
Today we are going to learn how can you create USB blacklist in windows to block USB drives in windows.
This technique will protect your computer from malicious USB drives and it will also protect your computer from data stealing through USB drives. The main advantage of this technique is that you can allow USB drives you trust or you use always.
First to use create USB blacklist in windows, you must download - Techntips USB blacklist tool.

After downloading, install Techntips USB blacklist and restart your computer.
After restarting, insert any USB drive in your computer. You will see that your computer automatically logout. This will happen everytime you will connect a USB drive which is not allowed in the computer. Read below for more information.
You can add your USB drives to whitelist (allowed USB drives list).
Follow below steps to add your USB drive in whitelist:--
action=lock --------->lock the pc when blacklisted usb is detected
1. to remove whitelisted usb, create a file - usb_remove.txt in
My Documents folder.
2. open usb_remove.txt file with notepad
3. type:-- remove=Drive ---->replace - Drive with drive letter
of usb to remove
example:-- remove=G:\
4. or to remove all whitelisted usb, type below command in usb_remove.txt file
remove=all
Now save the file. It will automatically remove the USB drive from whitelist.

2. Go to - My Documents folder
3. Then open
file - usb_whitelist.txt with notepad
4. Now type in
file --- AddNewUSB
5. save
the file now insert the usb you want to add in whitelist, it will automatically add the usb drive to whitelist
you can
change actions to shutdown,lock,logoff computer when a blacklisted(not added
in whitelist) usb drive is inserted in computer
1. Go to - My Documents folder
2. open -
usb_settings.txt in notepad
3. Delete
previous settings before changing them
then type
any of below commands in notepad:-
action=shutdown --------->shutdowns the pc when
blacklisted usb detected
action=logoff --------->logoff user from the pc when blacklisted
usb detected
You can also remove USB drives from whitelist. Follow below steps to remove USB drives from whitelist.
